2048: Free Number Puzzle Game
Slide every tile on the board at once. When two tiles with the same number touch, they merge into one. Keep merging to build bigger numbers and reach the 2048 tile. This version is smooth on phones, has one-step undo and saves your game automatically.
How to play 2048
- Swipe (or use the arrow keys / WASD) to slide all tiles in one direction.
- Two tiles with the same number merge into one with double the value.
- A new 2 or 4 appears after every move.
- Reach the 2048 tile to win. You can keep going for a higher score.
- The game ends when the board is full and no merges are possible. Undo takes back one move.
Tips & strategy
Keep your biggest tile in a corner
Pick one corner and build toward it. Most high scores come from never moving the big tile out of its corner.
Fill one row first
Keep the row with your biggest tile full so it cannot shift sideways.
Avoid the fourth direction
If your corner is bottom-left, mostly use left, down and right. Only press up when you have no choice.
