How to play Four in a Row
- Tap a column (or press 1–7) to drop your disc. It falls to the lowest empty space.
- Connect four of your discs in a line — across, up or diagonally — to win.
- Block your opponent whenever they have three in a row with an open end.
- If the board fills up with no winner, it's a draw.
Tips & strategy
Own the centre column
The middle column is part of the most possible lines of four. Start there.
Build double threats
Create two ways to win at once — your opponent can only block one.
Think about odd and even rows
As the first player, threats on odd rows (1, 3, 5 from the bottom) are especially strong late in the game.
Don't set up your opponent
Before you drop, check whether your disc lets them play the space directly above it.
